Very sorry to hear this sad news. John was our Skip on the first mixed team we played on. He had a great sense of humour and taught us the game as only a great teacher would. We will miss seeing him at the Granite Club and are sure he is skipping a winning team where he is now.

My heart is saddened with the news of your loss. He was a wonderful gentleman and full of great spirit. I know he will be missed by everyone he knew and taught. Dear Doris & family: Rory & I are deeply saddened to learn of John's passing. We curled in Haileyburyand New Liskeard for many years and always enjoyed our bonspiels or playdowns at the Granite Club. We would have a chat with you and John and usually end up buying a new paid of shoes or a new broom. I also knew John when I taught at Centennial when it was a senior school. My sympathy to the Toswell Family in the passing of John Toswell who was a long time teacher with the former Nipissing District School now the Near North DSB. Mr Toswell always greeted me with his friendly smile and upbeat mood! I will alwa ys have fond memories of him! The North Bay sports community has lost another great volunteer and true spirit!
