Obituary of Melissa Lynn Rutherford

Rutherford : Melissa Lynn “Missy” Peacefully at her home, North Bay, on Sunday November 11, 2012 just 3 weeks after her 26th birthday. Melissa was the dearly loved and cherished daughter of David and Rhonda Rutherford (nee Storie) and the dear sister to Jamie and Jessica. The beloved granddaughter of Frances Rutherford (late Harold) of North Bay and Verna Storie (late Garnet) of Powassan, she will be fondly remembered by her aunts and uncles Carol Hill (Jeff), Heather McGrath (Joe), Al Rutherford (Karen), Karen Marontate (Don) and Rolly Storie (Lana) and her many cousins. She was also predeceased by her uncle Gordon Rutherford. Melissa thoroughly enjoyed being out of doors, especially camping with her family. A student of the P.A.D.D.L.E Program, she and her family were active with the Nipissing Association for Disabled Youth (NADY) and were most thankful for the many years of help and support from the association. Friends may call at the MARTYN FUNERAL HOME on Friday afternoon and evening from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9pm. Funeral services to celebrate her life will be held in the funeral home chapel on at 11:00am on Saturday November 17. Cremation will follow with interment of ashes in North Bay Union Cemetery.
