Obituary of Muriel Claudia Chapman

CHAPMAN, MURIEL (nee McGILLIS) Died suddenly after a short illness at Nipissing Manor on Saturday March 30, 2013 in her 85th year. Muriel is survived by her husband and best friend of 59 years, Bud. Loving mother of Paul (Avery) of The Pas, Diane (Dave) of Lively and Bruce (RoseAnne) of Fergus. She was blessed to have held close to her heart six precious grandchildren; Hayley, Shannon, Cara, Andrew, Emily and Ashleigh, ‘What fun adventures we shared!’ Predeceased by her parents and by her sister Elayne. Muriel was well known among family and friends for her wonderful gourmet meals. She enjoyed making beautiful handmade quilts and was a lifetime member of the Trinity U.C.W. Muriel enjoyed traveling on wonderful trips with Bud and many lifelong relationships with good friends. Above all she loved spending time with her family, whom she cherished. She will be lovingly remembered for her kind heart and gracious spirit. Visitation will be held at the Martyn Funeral Home, 464 Wyld Street, North Bay, on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm (please note that Bud will not be in attendance during the evening visitation). The funeral service will be held at Trinity United Church, North Bay, on Thursday at 11 am. Cremation with interment of ashes in the Nipissing Village Cemetery at a later date.
