Helena Potter posted a condolence

My path first crossed with the Raycraft family back in the 70's...Dorothy's daughter, Karen and I were friends in high school, then we met up again in the early 90's...I remember when she told me that she was pregnant and she was so delighted when her son, Cory was born. I remember sitting at the hospital that day with Karen, I had no idea that in less than a year we would say good - bye to Karen, and I would become Cory's mother. Cory was 2 months old when his mother, Karen died. He lived with his godparents for about 4 months, and then in May of 1994 my path crossed again with the Raycraft family, as Dorothy became part of my family. She loved Cory dearly, and for the next 19 years we became family, friends, and shared so many happy times together. Cory got to know his birth family, and Gramma Dot was a wonderful source of family history and was forever grateful that I was Cory's mom. We laughed at lot, she spent a lot of time with Cory...now she is with her beloved Karen who she missed so much...Cory grieves the loss of his Gramma, as do I...she was a special wonderful person...Thank you Gramma Dot for the love that you shared with us, you have enriched our lives. May your spirit here continue to be vibrant like the sunrise. May you find eternal rest in God's infinite glory, and find peace and joy without end.
