In the late 1940's & early 1950's Harold was on staff at the Kirkland Lake Arena & he spent many hours on the ice. He became a powerful skater. One year he and another of his Arena cohorts dressed as clowns and berformed a skating skit for the Kirkland Lake Figure Skating Club's annual "Carnival" wearing their hockey skates.
Harold was a machinist by trade and after relocating to North Bay he joined Inspiration Mining working in their machine shop. He later joined H.E. Brown Supply in North Bay & Sault Ste. Marie, machining crank shafts.
He also loved fishing for Brook Trout. He could hardly wait for Spring to arrive and would be found traversing the creeks and back woods searching for the elusive fish.
The last few years his health prevented him from following his favorite past times but he maintained his good humour and loved the Family get togethers.

Mrs. Cline and Andy, We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of your dear husband and father. A trip like no other to North Bay in the summer of 1982 had a huge impact on my (Pauline's) life and determined my life-long closest friends. It is where I met Andy and was welcomed into the Cline home. In following years many a camping trip started from your driveway under the careful watch and assistance of an ever smiling Mr. Cline. Memories that I will cherish forever and now share with my own family especially when we get together and reminisce with Andy. In your deepest moments may the treasured memories that you hold dear carry you, give you strength, provide comfort and soothe your souls.
