Obituary of Eunice Mary Phillips

Phillips: Eunice Mary (Jeffrey) Peacefully passed away at Cassellholme for the Aged, North Bay, on August 21, 2016. Eunice Mary Phillips (Jeffrey), was born and lived her entire life in North Bay, daughter of the late James and Jean Jeffrey. Her husband Clifford predeceased Eunice in 1957. She will be missed by her son Dr. Jeffrey Phillips (Cindy) and three grandsons Caleb, Carter and Caelar and two granddaughters, Marasia and Maia. She is predeceased by her parents, two brothers Robert and Leonard , and four sisters Elsie (Paul) Derochie, Isabel (Graham) Dedman, Mable (Bill) Shankland and Frances (Curtis) Lamb. Eunice was employed by T.M. Palmer Jewellers for fifty years. She was manager of a chain of seven stores at the time of her retirement. She later enjoyed working at Jamine’s Boutique. She also enjoyed being active at St. Andrew’s Church where she served on and chaired numerous committees and was the first woman to serve as chairperson of the Church board. She will be missed by her family including many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Martyn Funeral Home on Friday August 26th from 7-9 pm. Visitation at Martyn Funeral Home on Saturday August 27th from 12 pm. until Funeral service at 1 pm. Interment at Terrace Lawn Cemetery. If so desired memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or St. Andrew’s Memorial Fund will be gratefully acknowledged. The family wishes to express particular gratitude to Leone, Jack Susie, Linda and Shirley for their dedication and caring over the years. Thanks as well to Dr. Prins and the staff at Cassellholme for the exceptional care they provided.
