AMANN - Hannelore "Anna" Emma On Tuesday August 7th, it pleased Almighty God to call out of this life and into God's most glorious life the soul of Hannelore "Anna" Emma Amann. Anna was predeceased by her husband, Karl in 1996 and is survived by her brothers living in Germany. Anna was in her 81st year. Anna and Karl were married in 1956 just before immigrating to Canada and made North Bay their home. They had a confectionery store and laundry business in the city before retiring. In her retirement, Anna became a dedicated volunteer at St. Joseph and Civic Hospitals, and One Kids Place. Anna was a faithful member of Redeemer Lutheran Church where she served on Council for many years, and was an active member of the Women's group. She will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by all of her friends, and the members of her spiritual family, especially by her dear friends Kathie Schreck, Hella Koziol, Lottie Frenssen, and Goddaughter Debbie Troup. A celebration of Anna's life will be held at Redeemer Lutheran at 725 Ferguson St. North Bay on Saturday August 11, at 11:00am. Visitation will take place at Martyn Funeral Home on Friday August 10th from 7 - 9 pm. and at the church prior to the funeral beginning at 9:30a.m. Anna's mortal remains will be cremated and laid to rest in Union Cemetery beside her husband. A heartfelt thank you is extended to the medical staff at Sudbury Regional and at North Bay Regional Health Centre who provided Anna with exceptional care over the last six months, and to the staff of Nipissing Manor whose compassionate care over the last two weeks was deeply appreciated. To all who made the journey to visit Anna over the last while - thank you for making her smile, for lifting her spirits, for loving her. Online condolences at www.martynfh.com. "I called to the Lord in my distress; the Lord answered by setting me free." Ps.118:5
