Obituary of Elizabeth Rae "Beth Buchanan

Draft Death Notice BUCHANAN: Elizabeth Rae "Beth" Passed away peacefully at Leisureworld Care Giving Center on Friday October 14, 2011, Beth (nee Moyer) was the wife of the late Charlie S. Buchanan, she was 88years old. Dearly loved sister of Russell "Busty" Moyer and his friend Diane of Smith Falls, Dr. Don Moyer and his wife Jean of Edmonton and Alvin Moyer and his wife Norma of North Bay. She was predeceased by her brother P.O. Wm. T. "Bill" Moyer (RCAF), who was killed overseas in 1942. Beth will be lovingly remembered by her many nieces and nephews. Beth was born in North Bay and was the beloved daughter of the late Ray and May Moyer. She served overseas with the RCAF during the Second World War, as a military Photographer. Beth and Charlie owned and operated a successful mobile Safety Shoe Company in Edmonton for many years. She was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority for over 50 years, a member of Trinity United Church and formerly the 406 Wing. Visitation will be held at the Martyn Funeral Home on Thursday October 20th from 12noon until time for a Memorial Service in the Martyn Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 PM. Cremation has taken place and her ashes will be interred in the Forest Lawn Cemetery.
