Bob & family, it is with great sadness in hearing of losing Leslie. She was a special coworker, whether in her roles as a front line nurse, nurse educator and nursing practice lead. A true inspiration and her humor and wit will be missed. My sincerest sympathy and regret that I will not be able to attend her celebration of life as I will be out of the country. With regards, Tiz

Pauline, I so enjoyed speaking with Leslie the few times we met at the Red Hat Luncheons. She was so full of enthusiasm and sharing her joy for life even though she faced many adversities with the terrible disease she fought. My thoughts are with you Pauline and Leslie's family. I wish for you that all the wonderful memories you have will help you through this day and the days to come.

I'm glad you were my much loved cousin for 58 years.
I'm sad that it is time to say "Good-bye".
I'm glad we shared a hay ride ... together wth Ed and Teddy and your Mom and Dad, Shelley and Andrew and your Grandmother Margaret Burt, and her friend, Ada Morgan, when you visited Novella Farm in Chilliwack, British Columbia in 1971.
I'm glad you and your friend Sandy Bickell, from Bow Island, Alberta surprised my family with a visit to the farm in 1986.
I'm glad my sister Janet Parsons, and I visited you at your home in North Bay in 2016. Together with your Mother we revered the ROSE BIBLE found in the Glen Morris house where Granny Rose lived and we again shared the story when you realized the Bible belonged to your Great-Great-Great Grandmother Margaret Ross Rose born 1798 in Croy, Scotland.
I'm sad there will never be another memorable visit.
I'm glad you have always been srrounded by a loving Mother.
I'm glad your Mother will have marvelous memories of her beauiful Daughter's remarkable life to remember all the days of her life.
I'm sad that while she will not be alone, she will be lonely without you.
I'm glad you have two delightful children, Meghan and Douglas, indeed God's most precious gifts.
I'm glad you enjoyd the excitement when your Granddaughter Scarlett Rose was born January 30, 2017.
I'm sad you will not share the happiness of your Granddaughter's youth even though in her heart she will know you just as you knew your Grandmother Frances Sweet.
I'm glad you had an admirable and rewarding career as a nurse. The experience taught you much compassion which inspired you to carry forward through social media with the use of inspirational quotes.
I'm sad your career was cut short by your battle with cancer.
I'm glad you travelled the world ... with your beloved husband, Bob, to Rome, Medjugorji and Calgary; with your Mother to Kilravock Castle in Scotland, to Dawson City in the Yukon and to Arizona to visit our cousins, Brian McArthur and his wfe Cindy in Phoenix, and Audrey Wann in Tucson; and to so many other places including Cuba with our cousin Karen Nogiec.
I'm sad your husband, family and friends will no longer have you as a travelling companion.
I'm glad my Mother Marion Sutherland UE, and your Uncle James Sweet UE taught you about our United Empire Loyalist history and genealogy through our Smith ancestors and likewise about the Rose Clan of Kilravock through our Rose ancestors.
God be with you.

Dearest Bob, Our thoughts are with you, Meghan,Bryce, Scarlett, Doug and Mrs. Burt, You have lost a wonderful, compassionate Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Daughter. She had a smile to light up a room, a contagious laugh and a caring soul. She was a marvellous co-worker who always seemed to have her glass half full and a friend with a great listening ear. She has left all of us too soon but many of us should try and emulate her wonderful personality. Our hearts are with yours. So glad that she touched our lives. With good thoughts and fabulous memories, Sue and Lin

Good bye my friend Leslie I will miss you more than you know. We just found each other after 50 years but I wouldn't trade the time we had together for a million dollars. You came to me at a time I really needed to talk to someone and my heart was heavy.. You and your mother made me smile again and for this I thank you. I can still see us at College Street School in Trenton on talent night....and we were not talented lol. But with your mother playing the piano for us... our 7 year old selves sang Aura Lee in very bad tune lol but our parents clapped and cheered like we were the best act on the program. lol You will be missed by all you touched. Your are special and don't forget that lol see you someday and we will rekindle our friendship once more Love Gina Clarke Edmonton Alberta
