Obituary of Gregory Allen Boxwell

BOXWELL: Gregory Allen – Age 73 – Born January 12, 1943 in Kitchener, Ontario, Greg died June 14th, 2016 at the North Bay Regional Health Center. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Patricia Anne (née Gibbon) of Rutherglen. Predeceased by his parents George Frederick Boxwell and Reta Pearl (née Hebebrand), and by his brother David (Lynda Surviving). Greg is survived by his brother Richard (Karen) of Kinburn, Ontario and George (Michelle) of Burnaby, B.C. He will be sadly missed by many nieces & nephews in the Boxwell family. Greg worked as a Building Inspector for CMHC and then for the City of North Bay. In his retirement he pursued his interests in Bird Watching, Genealogy and Bluegrass music. He was Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Bonfield Public Library and was very involved with the library’s Community Access Program. Friends are invited to the Martyn Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 21st from 7:00 – 9:00 PM, for a time of visitation and remembrance. A Graveside Service will be held in Kitchener at a later date. Thank you to all the Doctors and Nurses who cared for Greg from the CCAC and the VON nurses (especially Annie). Pat would also like to thank their wonderful neighbors, who have provided as much help and support during this difficult time. If desired, donations to the North Bay Regional Health Centre Foundation, the VON or the North Bay and District Humane Society.
