Please share a memory of Caroline to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Caroline Marie Barrer (Simpson) Sept, 7th 1945 - June, 13th 2016 Wife of Stanley Barrer of Papineaux Township. Beloved Mother to; Lee Barrer of Parry Sound, David Barrer (Wendy) of Barrie and Sheril Barrer of Mattawa. Dearest Sister to; Ida Simpson (Maurice), Carl Simpson, Theresa Simpson and Marie Simpson. Gary Thibert, Bob Thibert, Elmer Thibert (Michealene) and Judy Rose. Predeceased by; Mother Isabelle Thibert (Bertrand), Father Ray Simpson, Sister Shirley Davidson and Brother Lenard Simpson. Loved and greatly missed by grandchildren; Melissa, Keith, Kyle, Kelsey, Aaron, Timothy, Kaitlin and Kristopher as well as great grandchildren; Blake, Dante, Kale and Jackson. She will never be forgotten by her many nieces and nephews, numerous extended family members and her many friends. At approximately 2:10 on Monday morning, the most important part of our family (Nana) has passed. The impact she has left behind on us is the most special and everlasting one we could have ever asked to be left with, the impact of family. Every year she would make a point of holding a family gathering (corn roast) for everyone to get together from near and far and spend time with one another again. There would always be at least 100 people (some we knew, some were new), lots of food to feed them like her famous pinwheels, lots of games to entertain them like the forever loved balloon popping game and of course endless hospitality to show she loved them! Nana was the glue, and our only wish is that in memory of her kind and loving spirit we continue, even if just once a year, to make family a priority because that was always what was most important to her and what she always tried to teach us. She was an amazingly strong, selfless and caring woman that we know has gotten the chance to touch many lives and have many great exchanges with you all, and that she in some way has made you laugh, smile or simply enjoy yourself and feel loved, and we truly believe that was Nana's purpose. This is what makes the passing of Nana so difficult is that her purpose was so simple, pure and selfless, keep family together and show others the importance of it! She kept unconditional and selfless love alive. She continuously gave people hope in the world, faith in others and courage to stand up for what's right! Not a day goes by that she wasn't teaching one of us a life lesson, whether it seemed small or life changing at the time, she always knew just how to get in your head and be the voice that tells you right from wrong or good from bad. She was a tremendous person, and not a day will go by where we won't think of her and all she's done for us and how we couldn't have asked for a more special person to be by our side. The world may have lost one of its most rare and special beings...but on this morning heaven had gained a strong and faithful angel! And isn't that the type of person we all need watching over us?! We will never forget you <3
