Obituary of Joan Lunn

Lunn, Joan “Joanie” The family would like to announce the death of their beloved wife and mother, Joan ‘Joanie’ Lunn, 77 years of age. Joan passed away peacefully at home¬¬ while surrounded by her loving family on April 2, 2016 after her courageous battle with cancer. Joan was the devoted and loving wife of John and mother of their three children Sandra Goldsworthy (Brian), Dan Lunn and Heather Markham (Anthony). Memories will be cherished by her grandchildren Ryan, Matthew, Kent, John, Alisha and Cassandra and her great grandchildren Alexa, Chelsea Joan and Ethan. Joan’s strength and determination shone through, even on the darkest of days she was not one to give up, never complained, but continued to do what she enjoyed most. Her family meant everything to her and she always put others’ needs before her own. Her smile would always light up any room. Special thanks to Dr. Abeysinghe, Care Partners Nurses: Tanya, April and Shelby who took great care of her and the home-care workers: Debbie, Rita, Amanda, Pam, Alanna and Monique and the countless others. Visitation will take place at Martyn’s Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 5th from 7-9PM and again on Wednesday, April 6th from 11AM-1PM. The funeral service will be conducted by Reverend Joan Locke on Wednesday, April 6th at 1PM. Donations to The Canadian Cancer Society will be gratefully acknowledged.
