Obituary of Lisa Catherine Turcotte

TURCOTTE- Lisa Catherine Passed away suddenly and quietly on Tuesday, February 23, 2016, at the Mattawa Hospital, at the age of 49 years young. Lisa leaves behind her beloved husband Randy, son Zachary, daughter Grace, pets Cookie and Ollie; her mother in law Marilyn Franson (Jay Johnson) and brother in law Greg. Sadly missed by her mother Barb Turcotte (predeceased father Gerald), sisters Gail (Mike predeceased), Judy (predeceased), Lana Lortie (Norm), Debbie (Paul Simard), and brother Michael (Laura); nieces and nephews Pierre (Sara), Alex (Joelle), Brodie (Josee), Laura Preece (Christopher), Jason (Chelsea); Great nieces Lily and Zoey Ranger. A kind, vibrant soul whose beauty radiated inside and out. Lisa grew up in the country where her spiritual understanding found its roots. She loved the solitude of being outdoors whether alone or the many camping adventures with her family. She had a varied interest in books and read a lot, enjoyed music whether playing Coldplay or Annie Lennox. She was an adventurous soul which took her as far away as California to attend her brother’s wedding… best of times for all. She was devoted to her family and when the new Foodland was built became their baking specialist. This quote expressed Lisa’s thoughts: Today may there be peace within. May you trust that you are exactly where you are meant to be. May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith in yourself and others. May you use the gifts that you have received, and pass on the love that has been given to you. May you be content with yourself just the way you are. Let this knowledge settle into your bones, and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, praise and love. It is there for each and every one of us. Lisa had the request to Celebrate Her Life. Respecting her wishes there will be no service. Instead the family wishes to plan a fundraising dinner, silent auction and dance to help raise funds for her husband and children. We would like to invite anyone wishing to share in this celebration of Joy and Love to attend. Date in March, to be announced.
