It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mary McCullagh at Sechelt Hospital, Sechelt, BC.
Born in Toronto, Ontario, Mary spent her younger years in Malartic, Quebec and moved to North Bay, Ontario in her teens. Mary attended Western University and started a teaching career thereafter. She continued teaching and instructing in the Aviation Industry in North Bay and later in Pembroke, Ontario before retiring and moving to Davis Bay, BC where she could enjoy her passion of gardening all year long.
Mary is predeceased by her mother Marjorie (Peter) Murray, father Allan Weir Murray MBE, sister Linda Murray and step-daughter Jeanie McCullagh.
Beloved wife of John McCullagh. Dearly loved mother of Samantha Clarke and Caroline McCullagh. Mary will be greatly missed by nephew Allan (Geordie) Murray, step-children Tim (Sally), Bruce (Beth), Nancy (Rene), Sonya (Randy), John (Jill) and 15 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Donations can be made in her name to the Canadian Cancer Society (www.cancer.ca) or the SPCA (www.spca.bc.ca).
