My condolences to the Whitehead family. I worked with Austin at Ontario Hydro and have only fond memories of the experience. His hard work and integrity was an inspiration to all and he will be missed. I'm out of the country and regret not being able to attend the service.

Diane, Allisen, Laurie, Cory and family. My dad talked often of when he first moved to North Bay and started working at Ontario Hydro. His time at the boarding house and the times spent with Austin. I feel my dad left to meet up with my mom so the two of them could get ready for their reunion and the mischief the two of them will no doubt get into. I hold this man with high integrity.I was on many construction jobs with him with Bill Cochrane.When he hit the job site he was a machine to how the job was suppose to be done.He will be missed

On behalf of the Duval family{late Bud} I would like to express my deepest condolences to the Whitehead family on your loss.My dad spent alot of time with Austin in the early days of his time at Ontario Hydro {the stories about what those two did made for some intersting dinner stories},and at the end of my dads career the two of them enjoyed the time together working in the old Graham Drive home.When ever the two of them would get together it was fun to see..as they thought about the good old days at Hydro,he was one of my dads best friends.The last time I saw him was at Perkins in Sudbury and he was not slowing dwn at all-always busy doing something.I shed a tear when I read the notice on this site as I thought another piece that held my dad close to me was gone.Rest in Peace Mr.Whitehead-you will be missed.
