"Mrs Finnie " was a dear neighbour for forty years until a year after her husband, to my children and grandchildren, "Mr Finnie" died, and she moved to the Empire. We shared many Lake Nipissing sunsets. A loss. A life well lived.

I met Marion and Johnny through my parents Alice and Dick Veenis. We shared many fun dinners together and lots of laughs. Marion and Johnny visited our cottage in Brent and we are still using their old lawn mower there! It was always a treat to see Marion's flowers in the summer and to sit on the veranda and share Marion's joy in the lovely view of Lake Nipissing. With sympathy, Jan

Marion was a truly good friend of our Mother Dawn Webster. They were high school friends and then continued on with The Club girls forever! Her and Jahnny would skidoo with my parents and kind of party together. For several years as she lived at the empire we woudl shop and do lunch together. I loved it as she was lots of fun.She loved classy clothes and enjoyed buying new ones whenever. The very best part was she shared storues about our Mom and the GIRLS so not only did I get to know her as a friend but had many memories brought to mind for me to save!We had many visit with her Johnny at th cemetary and sat on his bench. I sure missed her when she moved down south. A very special woman and friend.Sandra

In my years at The Nugget, through Marnie's son, Richard, a solid Reporter and because I knew John Sr., I met the famous "Big Marnie" as Richard affectionately referred to his precious Mom.
Any time on a fishing venture with Richard or" Finny", out front of the Finnigan home, Marnie would make us welcome and suggest we leave a fillet or two for John Sr. and herself. Of course we complied.
Marnie was a gracious lady who always had a smile and a joke and a warm heart but she also had a no-nonsene approach to nd about life, honest as the day is long.
It was such a joy to have known Marnie. She's with the Good Lord and John and she is just fine.
