Obituary of Laurie Helen Denbekker

Please share a memory of Laurie to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Denbekker (nee Hannah), Laurie Helen 1959 – 2015 Passed away unexpectedly at the age of 56 at home (North Bay) on December 1, 2015. Laurie lived her entire life in North Bay. Her family and friends were always central, evidenced in her generous and loving heart. Her love of life, her sense of humour, and her quirkiness made her a star in our world. She held a special part in her heart for her son Richard and her grandson Lincoln, and anyone who knew her knew her love for them. She left us too soon but will never be forgotten. She is survived by her spouse Peter. She loved her only son Richard Thibeault (Kayla) and her grandson Lincoln. Daughter to Mac and Shirley Hannah, loving sister to Jim (Ramine), Karen (Greg) and Steven (Catharine) and Aunt Laurie to Megan, Aaron, Shawna, Brandon and Hugh. An informal gathering to celebrate the life of Laurie at Martyn’s Funeral Home on Sunday December 6, 2015 at 2:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society and the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated. If you do wish to send flowers, purple was her favourite colour. Laurie loved walking at the waterfront, watching the sun set, crafting with her best friend and cousin Heather, shopping, watching Friends and cheesy horror movies from the 80’s, drinking tea and spending time with her family. Especially meals at Burger World. Online condolences at www.martynfh.com
