Obituary of Terry Sanders Millard

MILLARD: Terry Sanders Suddenly at the North Bay Regional Health Centre, on Tuesday, September 8, 2015. Loving husband of Gwen, in his 71st year. Much loved father of Michael (Kim), Paula (Jason) of North Bay and Steven Millard of Oakville. Dear brother of Michele Williamson of London. Predeceased by his parents John and Violet Millard. Terry retired in June 1998 after 30 years as a principal with the East Parry Sound/Nipissing Board of Education. In the 1970’s he was seconded by the Ministry of Education to co-develop science curriculum for grades kindergarten to thirteen. During the past 40 years he was an active member of the Nipissing Rifle and Revolver Club and served as both president and vice-president. Terry had many interests in which he excelled, such as classical guitar, photography, taxidermy, leatherwork, oil and acrylic painting. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and his garden, as well as taking his “grand-dog” Luigi on his Sunday drive. Terry loved his family and will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Visitation will be held in the Martyn Funeral Home on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9:00 Pm. A Memorial Service will be held in St. Brice’s Anglican Church (1225 Cassells Street, North Bay) at 11:00am on Monday September 14th .
