Obituary of William Robert Jamieson

JAMIESON – William Robert “Bob” Peacefully after a courageous and valiant battle with cancer with his family by his side. A loving and devoted family man, Bob was our patriarch and mentor. He is survived by his best friend and wife Jean. Bob’s legacy lives on in his children Christine Etches (Pat) and Rob Jamieson (Allison). His unconditional love included Jean’s children Trevor Thomas (Deb), Teri-Lynn Mitchell (Lee) and Tyler Thomas (Kim). Special Grandpa to Darcy, Dylan, Sydney, Mallory, Meagan, Tseitel, Ari and Oz. Born in Timmins, Bob was the son of Duncan and Etta Jamieson and loving brother to Theresa Morelli, Eleanor Casey, Kathleen Beaton (predeceased) and special brother to Jack Brotherston. Bob had a successful 32 year career with London Life. His character and charm made friends everywhere he went. Bob’s witt and sense of humour will be missed by all his family and friends. “The world has lost an incredible human being.” Thanks to Dr. Cathers as well as all the doctors and staff in the emergency department. A special thank you to Wendy Porter. In keeping with Bob’s wishes cremation has taken place. Friends may call at Martyn Funeral Home on Thursday evening from 6 – 9pm. Bob’s life will be celebrated at St. Andrew’s United Church, (Main St. and Cassells St.) at 11:00 am Friday September 4, 2015.
