Obituary of Norman Donald Hosking

HOSKING: Norman Donald It is with great sadness the family of Norman Hosking announce his passing at the North Bay Regional Health Centre, on Friday July 24, 2015. Norm was the beloved husband of Patricia “Pat” McGuinty and the late Valerie (nee Vetere), he was 84 years old. Loving father of Lisa Peterson and her husband Brad of Barrie and Shauna Barker and her husband Doug of Toronto. He will be lovingly remembered by his granddaughter Kendra. Norm will be fondly remembered by Pat’s children and their families Christine, Cathy, Bernard, Greg, Michael and Patrick. Dearly loved brother of Tom Hosking and Doreen Humphries both of Pickering. He was predeceased by his siblings Roy, Kenneth, Ronnie and Pat’s two children Mark and Jennifer. Norm was proud to be a member of the North York Fire Department (Retired) serving with distinction for many years. Friends may call at the Martyn Funeral Home on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Mass will be Celebrated by Father Rex Lumine at the Pro Cathedral of the Assumption on Tuesday at 2:00 P.M. Interment at the Barrie Union Cemetery. If desired, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by his family.
