In the mid 60's, Bob hired the consulting engineering firm I worked for, to assist him in the design of the Etobicoke Centennial Stadium, for which he was the principal Architect. I was assigned to the electrical design, including the playfield lighting. During the design, I met with Bob regularly and the project was successfully completed, opening in 1967, the Centennial year. So successful that he was soon contracted to design the next building on site, Centennial Stadium, with a 50 meter 8 lane competitive swimming pool. A much bigger project, again with me heavily involved in the design with Bob and his staff. It took 2 years to get the swimmers in the water, but a great reception for a superb project followed. With this connection to competitive swimming so close at hand, my family became deeply involved in the sport in for many years. A world record was set in the pool in the mid 60's, testimony to Bob's ability to set the stage.
That's how I remember Bob.

Holly & Eric Brown made a donation to THE ALZHEIMER SOCIETY OF NORTH BAY AND DISTRICT
Every morning when the sun rises beyond Bob's Stoneclough haven or the sunset turns the living room windows bright pink or red, Bob will be remembered fondly. We will miss hearing his splash into Trout Lake. Our sympathy extends to his family of whom he was so proud.
