Although I have only once had the pleasure of meeting this man for a very brief moment, he has given me a few things that I treasure greatly.. His children and grandchildren. He gave my best friend, the love of her life and second family to call hers, who in turn I have come to know and love. My thoughts and prayers have been with you and will continue to be with you through this hard time. Lots of Love. Sam Larcher,xo

Dear Daddy, I have so manymemories of you and happy to have them. They warm my heart. You know I am the middle kid and you used to save me from my siblings so we wouldn't fight. I think that sometimes, I would purposely cry so you would take me with you. I was your 'Bun' and always will be! We would go driving through the country, just me and you. That was our special alone time! I remember rolling cigarettes for you and stacking them in piles, like log piles. I can still hear you putting wood in the stove during the night to keep us warm. Remember when you took me in the bush with my Sunday clothes on. You wanted to show me your deer but Ma wasn't too impressed!! Oh well, we had fun!! I will hold these and many more memories close my heart as you cherished me and our family. I will love you forever Daddy. Missing you so, Your Bun xoxoxo

Grandpa - I'd like to share two of my favourite memories of you.
The first dates back as many years as I can remember to when I was little and it is the smell of your shirt when I hugged you and your cap hanging at the door. They smelled like you, that's really the only way to describe it. Like a man that had worked hard on the wood pile or out in the yard but filled with a sweetness all the same. It's a smell that I looked for every time I came in to the house even as an adult and sometimes I took a sniff of your cap hanging at the back door just to be sure it was still there. There has been a few times as an adult that I have smelled that smell somewhere and thought 'that smells like my grandpa'.
The second memory I will cherish is your kind smile and wave greeting is and saying farewell each and every time we were out at the house. I can't remember one single time that you did not meet me outside the door to welcome me to your home or follow me out to see that I got off ok. And then always a wave from you and grandma in the window. A true gentleman always.
