Obituary of Treffle Joseph Moise Latour

LATOUR – Treffle Peacefully at the Mattawa General Hospital on Thursday January 29, 2015, while in his 93rd year. Treffle was the devoted and loving husband of the late Pauline Evelyn Patry, who predeceased him in 1996. The proud and loving father of Michel Latour (Beverly) of Grimsby, Micheline Mackey (Mike) of Mattawa, Marie Nolan (Robert) of Ottawa, Jackie Sarrazin (Dixon Smith) of North Bay, Nicki Latour of Brampton and Guy Latour (Jennifer) of Sudbury. He will also be lovingly remembered by his ten grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and his many nieces and nephews. The last surviving member of his family he was predeceased by all of his brothers and sisters. A Veteran of WWII he proudly served overseas during the war. Friends may call at the Martyn and Sloan Mattawa Chapel on Sunday afternoon and evening 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. Anne’s Catholic Church at 11:00am on Monday February 2. Cremation to follow with interment of ashes in St. Anne’s Cemetery in the spring.
