The Desmarais household was always very busy,warm and welcoming. It still amazes me that Aunt Evelyn and Uncle Roland would find the time,space and caring, to offer a place in their home for extended periods, to many family members, among whom were our parents, Roland and Laurette Bazinet, when Dad became ill. It could not have been easy. For that and your many acts of kindness, we shall be forever grateful.
On a more personal note, Aunt Evelyn was a very influential presence in my life. She demonstrated the determination to deal with her own losses and illness with quiet courage.She devoted many years of her life to ministry in the North. Her faith was strong and it got her through life's challenges.
Aunt Evelyn we salute you and love you. We will always be grateful for your love and acceptance.
