Obituary of Geniza Bendijo Ortega

ORTEGA: Geniza Bendijo “Geny” Passed away peacefully surrounded by members of her family at the North Bay Regional Heath Center on Sunday, October 5th, 2014. Geny was the beloved daughter of the late Pablo and Felisa Ortega, she was 74 years old. Beloved sister of Arturo Ortega, Salvador Ortega (Grace), Norma O. Verdida, Romeo Ortega, Wilfredo Ortega and Helen Alolod (Jimmy). She will be lovingly remember and sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Geny was a Registered Nurse and prior to retirement, she had worked in the Operating Room at the North Bay Civic Hospital. She was an avid traveller, as well she went on Medical Missions to bring eye care to those in need in Africa, the Philippines and in Central & South America. She was a faithful member of the Pro Cathedral, and was involved in the CWL. Visitation for Geny will be held in the Martyn Funeral Home on Tuesday from 7-9 Pm and Wednesday from 9:00am until 1:30 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated by Msgr. Dave Tramontini at the Pro Cathedral of the Assumption on Wednesday, October 8th at 2:00 PM. Interment in the Philippines.
