Obituary of Clayton Arnold Wilson

WILSON : Clayton Arnold A lifelong resident of Mattawa, Clayton Wilson passed away peacefully with his children by his side at the Mattawa Hospital on Sunday, August 3rd, 2014 at the age of 85. He was the beloved husband of Eleanor Mary Norma (nee Chevrier) and cherished father of Dan Wilson (Diane), Jack Wilson (Vicky) and Debbie Wilkins (Mark). He will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Brian, Jennifer, Taylor, Landon, Cindy, Curtis and Scott. Clayton was the dearly loved brother of Dalton Wilson (Joan), Ruth (late Al Duval) and Phyllis (late Murray Maher). Predeceased by him are his parents, Ernest and Mary Wilson, and his siblings, Lois and Clarence. Clayton and Eleanor established Wilson’s Builder’s Supplies in Mattawa in 1977 and retired in 1988 to spend more time with family. A dedicated husband, father and grandfather, he will be also be remembered as an avid hunter, fisherman and snowmobiler. A private family service will be held to celebrate Clayton's life. If desired, donations to the Pine Hill Cemetery would be greatly appreciated as expressions of sympathy. Arrangements entrusted to the Martyn & Sloan "Mattawa Chapel".
