Obituary of Georgia Rachel Longstreet

Longstreet, Georgia Rachel. Peacefully at Health Sciences North, Sudbury, on May 31, 2014 at the age of 85 years. Georgia was the devoted and beloved wife of the late Eugene Orlo “Gene” Longstreet who predeceased her in 2000. Proud and loving mother of Jo-Anne Ward of Etobicoke, Helen Horsman of North Bay, Patricia Waterfield of Toronto and Nancy Turcotte (Reo Fountain) of North Bay. She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Carol Alexander (David), James Bailey, Aaron Waterfield (Stephanie), Daina Fields (Patrick), Michael Turcotte (Melody), Andrew Turcotte (Gracie), and her great-grandchildren Patrick Whalen, Darien Waterfield and Kayleigh Turcotte. Georgia, a devoted wife and mother, also worked as a Loans Officer with the Toronto Dominion Bank, retiring after more than twenty years of service. In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place. Family will be receiving friends at the MARTYN FUNERAL HOME on Saturday, June 7 from 12pm until the time of the Memorial Service at 1pm. Interment of ashes will be in the North Bay Union Cemetery. If desired, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society will be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy.
