Died suddenly at the North Bay General Hospital - Scollard Site, on Friday, July 14, 2000. Lillian Pearl Lainsbury, was the beloved wife of Lyola "Lyle" Porter, in her 86th year. Loving mother of Jim Porter and his wife Marlene of North Bay and Lyle Porter Jr. and his wife Carole of Muskegon, Michigan. Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Mark Porter, Lisa Edlund, Julie McNiff, Jennifer Ferguson, Valerie Mourot, Leona Copple, Diane McCharles and David McCharles and by her great grandchildren Carlie, Mackenzie, Nicholas, Connar, Jack, Tru, Maggie, Chloe, Montana and Taylor. Lillian was the loving sister of Dorothy, Eve and Violet and stepsister to Minnie, Lena, Leonard, Harry and Ted some of whom have predeceased her. Lillian's family will be receiving friends at the Martyn Funeral Home on Monday, July 17th, from 1:00 to 2:00 PM. Funeral services will follow in the Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 PM. Cremation with interment of ashes at North Bay. If desired, donations to the Emmanuel United Church will be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy.
