Obituary of Jessie Mary Franks

Franks - Jessie Mary Passed away peacefully at the North Bay Regional Health Centre on Thursday April 3, 2014, in her 100th year. She was predeceased by her husband Roy. She lived a long and interesting life as an artist, social activist and gardener. Jess has lived in a log house in the Nass Valley in Northern B.C. and in her later years an old bank they converted into a pottery studio in Hunter River, P.E.I. She has lived in North Bay close to her son and daughter-in-law the last 13 years. She is survived by her children Marjorie (Bert) Spisak of Terrace, B.C. and Douglas (Sandra) Franks of North Bay and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Jessie was predeceased by her son Herb Hughan and her daughter Lenore Thomson. In keeping with her wishes cremation has taken place. No visitation or services will be held.
