The Godin family sadly announces Viola's death on Monday, April 4, 2016, peacefully at the Mattawa Hospital surrounded by her family, at the age of 79. She was the dearly loved and devoted wife of the late Thomas Godin who predeceased her in 2014. The proud and loving mother of Pauline (Myles predeceased), Ronald (Debbie), Donald (Lee), Kathryn (Michael) and Michael (Trina). Proud grandmother of Tommy, Amanda, Wendy, Anita, Emmanuelle, J.F., Ricky, Danny, Jimmy, Sebastian, Domonique, Evan, Emily and fifteen great-grandchildren. Viola is survived by her siblings Dolly (Donald), Dorothy, Lenard, Keith and predeceased by Kenneth and Arthur. Family will receive friends at the MARTNY & SLOAN "Mattawa Chapel" on Thursday. April 7, 2016 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be held at St. Anne's Church on Friday, April 8, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will take place at St. Anne's Cemetery at a later date.
