The Hoo Family invites and welcomes all of Herley's friends to attend a Time of Remembrance in his honour. Please join the Hoo family for this celebration which will be held in the “Garland Room” at the Holiday inn Express - North Bay (1325 Seymour Street), on Friday April 25th, from 1 – 4 P.M. Passed away peacefully at his home in North Bay, on Tuesday, December 17th, 2013. Herley, was the beloved husband of Geraldine Mee-Or (nee Ng), he was 77 years old. Loving father of Marlyne Brooks and her husband Bernard of Rochester, New York, Viola Hoo and her husband Sony Singh of Ottawa, Nancy Hoo of Toronto, Lisa Hoo and her husband Rob Baba of Stouffville and Andrew Hoo of Ottawa. He will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Evie, Josie, Stirling, Amelia, Malcolm, Cameron and Naomi. Herley was the dear brother of Wai-Chong and Wai-Lin. He was predeceased by his siblings Wai-Sou, Wai-Man and Wai-Ching. Herley and his family for many years owned and operated Hoo’s Dining Lounge on Lakeshore Drive and Hoo's in the Foodcourt - North Gate Square. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Herley Hoo to the North Bay Regional Hospital Centre Foundation or The Ottawa Hospital Foundation - Cancer Centre and gratefully appreciated.
