I am so sorry to hear of Frank's passing. He mentored the creation of our Stewardship in Temagami and I come to know him as an honourable and wise gentleman. His passion to preserve, protect, and restore the natural resources of Northern Ontario was so venerable. I admired him and feel honoured to have know him.

As with most memories those I remember are in sunshine, whether on the freshly baked sand of the shore at the Inn and the outdoor barbecues of summer, or the huts on glittering ice. I remember the friendly banter of guests and the evening Grosbeaks flying past. It is gone now but still lives on as Frank will do in our hearts and minds. A tremendous loss to all of us who knew Frank and admire his values. My sincere condolences to his family and friends. Frank is warmly dismembered by the Slovenian community in Hamilton, where 50 years ago, he was a leading person organizing and motivating Slovenians in this city to build a spiritual,cultural and social center at St.Gregory the Great Slovenian Parish. I have known Rado all of my life - his parents and siblings are/were good friends of my parents going back over close to 60 years. Rado was my emcee at my wedding in 1980. He was a handsome, dashing looking man, who had a heart of gold. My condolences to Thea, Nadia and Sasha. He will be missed.

This message came to me from Manuel Nigg, our former exchange student from Switzerland when I advised him of Frank's passing: I am so sorry. I actually just went through the Rotary-booklet last night and saw his Picture and remembered this nice afternoon with him and Bill. It was a great day of ice-fishing and the ride with this "tank-thingy" was awesome too. Will never Forget this day.. Wasn't he also the bbq-Chef at the Rotary BBQ at the Shrines-Club? If you are able tell his Family all the best and maybe share my experience with them, would be very appreciated by myself..

Thea, Nadia, and Sasha, Mario and I cannot thank you enough for welcoming us into your family and allowing us to share in your Thanksgiving Dinner and most precious last moments with Frank. We are forever grateful for the bond that has brought us together through Frank's passionate purpose to help raise funds and awareness for services within our community. We, and our team at Callander Bay Dental Centre, are forever grateful for his Honourable role as Ambassador during our annual Smiles for Life Campaign to raise funds for Rotary for Kids. We thank you for sharing Frank with us during numerous breakfast, lunch and dinner meetings to discuss progress and support for our projects and Mario's wildest dreams! We will miss him; and you as well, at the Guiness World Record attempt; a project that Mario enthusiastically discussed with Frank, at the Batallion's Hockey Game this Thursday night where a record breaking number if participants will swish mouthwash for 15 seconds simultaneously and Dr. Lemay will donate $.50/participant to One Kids Place. Frank has been like our "in-town" Dad to both of us and we will miss him dearly!
