Obituary of Doreen May Parent

PARENT (nee Clouthier): Doreen May A Lifelong resident of Mattawa passed away peacefully at the Algonquin Nursing Home, on Wednesday October 30th, 2013. Doreen was the beloved wife of the late Orval John Parent, she was 77 years old. Loving mother of Patsy Lefebvre (Emile) of Mattawa, Mike Parent (Sheila) of Wellington, Paul Parent (Diane) of Sudbury, Greg Parent (Laura) also of Wellington and Larry Parent (Todd) of Toronto. She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Brad (Jenny), Shelley (Carl), Mandy (Patrick), Chad (Sandra), Eric (Danielle), Sally (Tim), Karla (Rob), Jake, Amy (Jay) Luke and by her 13 great grandchildren. Dearly loved sister of Jeanette Perreault of Sudbury and Richard Clouthier of BC. Doreen was predeceased by her parents Herbert and Delhia Clouthier and by her sibling Clarence, Verna and Blayne. She lived for her family and was fortunate to spend many wonderful times with them all. Doreen loved to spend time outdoors fishing and camping. She was never one to stop; Doreen will be remembered as a hard worker herself or for others. Memorial Visiting will be held in the Martyn & Sloan “Mattawa Chapel” on Monday, November 18th from 9am until 11:00 am. A Memorial Service will be celebrated by Father Mitch Beachey on Monday, November 18th at 11:00 am, at St. Anne’s Roman Catholic Church. Interment of ashes to follow in the family plot at St. Anne’s Cemetery.
