Obituary of Cynthia Lee Cant

CANT – Cynthia Lee (nee Poupore) Peacefully at the North Bay Regional Health Centre on Monday September 16, 2013, while in her 48th year. Cynthia was the beloved wife of Tracy Cant and the devoted and loving mother of Leah. The dearly loved daughter of Michael & Glenda Poupore, and daughter in law of Betty & Terry Cant, Cynthia will be sadly missed by her sisters Catherine Neely (Derrick) of Barrie, and Stephanie Cousineau (Cory) of North Bay, and her brother in law Mike Cant (Isabelle) of Montreal. Aunt Cynthia will be forever remembered by her nieces and nephews Kyle & Courtney Neely, Mya & Claire Cousineau & Henri & Charles Cant. A graduate of Carlton University she received her BA in Psychology & Criminology in 1989. Her love of children led her to earn her Early Childhood Education Diploma from Canadore in 2004, and a career with the Near North District School Board. Cynthia’s loves were her family, being a mom to Leah, her home and the many pets she cared for. She had the gift of being able to relate to children on any level, and had the ability to make them all feel special. She will be missed by all that had the fortune to be touched by her friendship. Friends may call at the Martyn Funeral Home on Friday evening, September 20, from 6 – 9pm. A private family service will be held.
