Obituary of Sandra Fayle
Sandra (Sandy) Marlene Fayle (neé Forbes) of North Bay Ontario, passed away peacefully on September 22, 2013, after a short battle with cancer. She was born to the late Hazel and Leonard Forbes from Brockville, Ontario. Sandy is survived by her loving husband, William (Bill) James Fayle, her son Kevin Andrew Fayle, his wife Maria and grandson Gianluca, and her daughter Stephanie Erin Fayle and fiancé Rick Ransom, and his children Robert, Kevin, and Katrina. She also leaves behind many loving relatives and friends in her hometown of Brockville as well as her more recent home in North Bay. Sandy attended Riverview Public School and BCI in Brockville before attending the Toronto Institute of Medical Technology. She started her career as a Registered Laboratory Technologist in South Peel Memorial Hospital, and moved onto MDS Laboratories in Brockville, Hospital in Common Winchester, Brockville General Hospital. Sandy recently retired from the North Bay General Hospital. She was a member of the Kinette Club of Prescott for 16 years and her husband was the National President of the Kinsmen Club of Canada. Sandy also enjoyed bingo, reading, gardening, sports and spending time with family and friends. These were her passion and delight. Sandy has requested a Celebration of Life Ceremony (see details below). This event will truly be a celebration of Sandy’s beautiful and caring self. As such, she and her family request that you attend with a smile and casual, comfortable clothes – just as you would if you were dropping in to see Sandy and Bill at their home. The family wishes to thank all of those who cared for Sandy during her illness. Special thanks also to the wonderful nursing staff in the Palliative Care unit at North Bay Regional Health Centre – you are truly special people.
