Obituary of Mary Standen

STANDEN (nee McGowan): Mary Passed away at the Nipissing Manor on Monday, June 10th, 2013. Mary (nee McGowan) was the beloved wife of the late Sydney (David) Standen, she was 83 years old. She is the loving mother of Dianne “SyD“ Standen (Bruce Anderson) of Calgary, John Standen, Stephen (Laura) Standen all of North Bay and Judith (Robert) Migdal of Brampton. She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Patricia (Jeremy) Mroch, Katherine Longpre (Jamie Johns) and Alexander “AJ" Longpre (Wesley Ward) all of Calgary. She will also be missed by her great-grandchildren Rebecca, Julia, Anna, David, Waverly, Rowan, Quinn, Emmett, and Hazel all of Calgary. Mary was a retired nurse. She also made many life long friends with the Girl Guides. Memorial Visitation will be held in the Martyn Funeral Home on Wednesday from 7-9 PM and on Thursday, June 13th from 1:00 PM until time for a Memorial Service in the Martyn Funeral Home Chapel at 3:00 PM. Interment of ashes to follow in Durham, Ontario. If desired, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation and the Friends of Camp Caritou will be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy.
