Anita and I shared a few similar interests. I met Anita at the Tennis Court. When purchasing flowers at Schutz, Anita and I always had a good chat and many laughs. I loved her spirit and her joie de vie. She talked lovingly of her children and with great pride. Her bubbly personality will be truly missed. She was one classy lady.

Dear Michelle and Ian and Greater Vandekka Family, So sad to hear of the passing of your mum this week. I know that Anita will be sadly missed by my mum and all the gang who have shared Anita's good cheer and laughter over all these year. Phyllis and I wish we could be there in North Bay with you guys to celebrate a life well lived. All those great years we had growing up on Trout Lake and at Nippissing Ridge, and none of would would not have happened without the adventurous spirit that our parents had. In particular, the tremendous 'will and strength' that Anita must have shown in those first few years after your dad passed away. I didn't really know your mum back then, but I"d say that many middle aged single mum's left with a big house on the lake and 2 teen-agers would have fled for the 'safer' confines of town, but not Anita. Or later through the years, bumping into Anita at Shutz Garden Centre, your mum was always full of joy and proud stories of Ian and Michelle. I'm sure there will be many stories just like this... a life well lived! Our sincere condolencses go out to you both and your respective families.
