Obituary of Freda Gertrude Holman

HOLMAN (nee Howard), Freda Passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Sunday, March 31st, 2013 at Nipissing Manor after a 22 year battle with Alzheimer's disease. Beloved wife of Ted for 65 years of wedded bliss. Freda was the proud and loving mother of 4 children - Jim Holman and wife Izabella (Oakville), Jane Bird and husband Gary (Corbeil), Patti Jennings and husband Barry (Pakenham) and Sandra Newsham and husband Nigel (Tiverton); 10 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Freda was a member of numerous groups and associations throughout her lifetime including: Brownies, Square Dancing, The Bay Tones, The Rondelles, the Church Choir and was a lifetime member of the UCW at Emmanuel United Church. Survived by sisters Jean Rowe (Cambridge) and Shirley Donaldson (Thunder Bay). Predeceased by brothers Don and George Howard and sisters Marjorie (Marge) Cole and Elizabeth (Betty) Passmore. Family will receive friends and relatives at Emmanuel United Church on Lakeshore Drive on Tuesday April 2nd, 2013 from 7 to 9 pm; and for the funeral service on Wednesday April 3rd at 11 am, also at the church.
