Obituary of Norma May Telford

TELFORD: Norma May The Telford family sadly announces Norma’s unexpected death at the North Bay Regional Health Centre on Monday March 4, 2013, at the age of 79 years. For the past 59 years Norma has been the beloved and cherished wife of George Telford. The proud and loving mother of Jim, and Brian and his wife Laura, she will be lovingly remembered by her grandsons Brent (Nicole King) and Darren, all of North Bay. She was predeceased by her infant daughter Deborah. Born in Bryson Quebec Norma was the youngest child of James & Jessie Pitt. She will be sadly missed by her sister Vera Lemaire, of North Bay and was predeceased by brothers Lloyd, Harold, Russell (Muriel of Ottawa), & Leonard, sister Jean Clark, and her step sisters Lyla, Beulah and Cora. A dedicated wife, mother and grandmother Norma enjoyed life. A gracious hostess she enjoyed entertaining and was a wonderful cook. She cherished time with her grandchildren and at the family cottage at Red Water. Norma was one of the original members of the Cardiac Fitness Club and was very proud of her 35 years of membership. She enjoyed fishing, was an avid bowler and belonged to the same card club for over 25 years. Her family and friends will miss her greatly. Friends may call at the Martyn Funeral Home on Wednesday afternoon and evening from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 pm. Funeral services to celebrate her life will be held in the funeral home chapel at 11:00am on Thursday March 7.
