Obituary of Burton Charles Brown

Brown, Burton Charles (Burt). Passed away surrounded by his family at the North Bay Regional Health Centre on February 17, 2013. He was 77 years old. Beloved husband of 57 years to Mildred (nee Forsyth). Dear father of Kelly Brown (Lisa), Rhonda Brown and Lana Brown. Loving grandfather to Melissa and Nick Brown. He will be sadly missed by his grand-dogs Jake and Odin . Burt began his career as a police officer in Parry Sound. He then spent 3 years with the Parry Sound Ambulance service before moving to North Bay. He then started the North Bay and District Ambulance Service and served as its Director from 1969-1997. Burt was awarded the EMS Exemplary Service Award which was presented to him by Governor General Hilary Weston. A celebration of Burt’s life will be held on Monday, February 25, 2013 at 2pm in the MARTYN FUNERAL HOME Chapel. Donations to Ride For Dad (cheques only) will be gratefully acknowledged by his family.
