Obituary of Milton Colyer

COLYER, MILTON JOSEPH Born October 3, 1923, died in his 90th year on December 27, 2012. Milt Colyer, a lifelong resident of North Bay, survived by his wife of 69 years, Joan. Loving father of Beverly, John (Linda) and Jim, predeceased (wife Bev, surviving). Grandfather of Steven (Del), Janet (James Lynch), Robyn (Jason Tarshis), Marnie (Peter Brunette), Jayme (Mike Burke) and David. Great grandfather of 13. Survived by his brothers Harry and Dick. Milt was an active member of the North Bay Community, being a past President of the Chamber of Commerce, past director of the Rotary Club of North Bay, 65 year member of the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 23, one of the original members of the Royal Canadian Naval Association and an active curler and golfer. Milt was a naval veteran of WWII and he and his wife were the proud owners of Timberline Saw and Marine. Friends may call at the Martyn Funeral Home on Sunday from 6-8 pm. A legion service will be held in the Martyn chapel on Monday at 10:30 am followed by the funeral service at 11 am. Cremation to follow at the Forest Lawn Crematorium.
