Obituary of Pauline Élianne Marie Desbiens

We regret to announce the passing of Pauline Desbiens, on Saturday August 18th 2012 at Toronto General Hospital. She leaves behind her loving husband Donald Desbiens and her precious children Luc and his wife Mandy from North Bay, Chantalle and her partner Robert of London and Serge and his fiancé Kelly of Peterborough. Pauline was a devoted grandmother to Jordan, Alexander, Natasha, Zachary, Miranda and the newest, soon to arrive to the family, baby Desbiens. Great grandmother to Aurora and Daniel Desbiens. Pauline was predeceased by her parents Evelyn Aumont and Joseph Lapierre and her brothers Rheal (Helene Lapierre), Cleo (Rhea Lapierre) sisters Yollande (Dorian Morin) and Ghislaine (Richard Beaudoin). She is survived by sisters Darquise (Alderic Lambert), Viviane (Gaetan Leroux), Bella (Marcel Julien) and Stella (Maurice Ouellette), her brother Gilles (Yvette Lapierre), brother-in-law Ghislain (Lena Desbiens) and several nieces and nephews. Education was very important for Pauline and she set the example to her children by returning to school in her 40`s to complete her GED then proceed to Canadore College. Upon graduating from college Pauline began her 3rd career as a legal secretary and worked her way to a position with the Ministry of Correctional Services as a Personnel Manager. Arrangements have been made with Martyn Funeral Home. Visiting Friday August 24th 2-4 and 7-9 pm and Saturday 10-11 am with a service and reception to follow. In lieu of flowers the family have asked for donations to Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund, a cause dear to Pauline because of her grandson.
