Obituary of Donald Francis Scandlen

Passed away peacefully at North Bay Regional Health Centre on Saturday, June 16, 2012. Donald was the beloved husband of Sheila Ann (nee Bush), he was 79 years old. Loving father of Derrick of Invermere, BC, Doug of Oakville and Janet of Kincardine. He will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Courtney, Brandon, Matthew, Samantha and Emily. Dearly loved brother of Rob of Lyndhurst and Joanne of Toronto. Donald was predeceased by his parents Roy and Emma Scandlen and by his sister Maureen. Don worked for the Ministry of Correction for over 31 years, starting as a Guard and retiring as a Corporal responsible for the Transportation of inmates. He and Sheila were active members of their community as members of the East Ferris Golden Age Club and the Over 50 Club in Callander. Donald’s family will receive friends in the Martyn Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, June 20th from 12noon until time for a Memorial Service in the Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 PM.
