Hello Cora, Firstly, you certainly have my condolecanes on the loss of Heather. You are the only person who can truly know what Heather meant to you but let me tell you what she meant to me. Heather was an inspiration. Over the past few days I’ve been taking a little trip down memory lane as memories of Heather keep popping up. One thing I found perhaps most interesting is that of all the memories I have of Heather none of them are complaints. She had excuses to be impatient, frustrated and unmotivated but those are not the synonyms that come to mind when reminiscing on her life. Here are a few that I thought of. Driven, spritely, eager, and determined. Nobody would fault her for want to “sit it out” but that wasn’t Heather’s style. Even now, in her passing she’s taught me yet another very valuable life lesion; I need to do a better job of keeping in touch with old friends. Take care. Derek

Every time I would see her out with her mom. I would say hello and she would look at me and smile this most beautiful smile. She seemed to light up, and this always made my day. She was an angel sent to bring joy to people's lives. Now God just needed her to come back to him and to save her from a body that was beginning to shut down. We are all blessed to have had her in our lives. I wish her mom and all her family my sympathies.

Heather was one of the students in my kindergarten class at St. Victor's School many years ago. With her bright eyes and radiant smile she was a ray a sunshine to myself and her feloow classmates. We are all better people for having Heather in our lives at such a young age. My sincere sympathies to you Cora. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Gone Away
© Diana Blokzyl
An Angel whispered
take my hand and
come with me
you're work here is done.
I went away to a place
where there's no tears, nor sorrow
only laughter and smiles,
there will always be a Tomorrow.
As I move amongst the clouds.
I'll look down and smile upon you,
while the angels
sing a heavenly song.
I am not alone
all who went before
are here
they awaited my return.
I know you'll grieve
and wish She was still here
I am here in the memories
you hold dear.
Remember how much I
love you
and know I took your
love with me.
I did not wish for
you to cry, nor feel sad.
My pain is gone and
I am Free!
Soon you'll come to me
until then
God will be with you
Just as He's with me.
Love Sandy & Giancarlo

I have a few things that I remember about Heather she always knew how to make me laugh and she knew that just seeing her smile made my day better, I remember when I was growing up she lived just down the street from me I would see her in her chair going for her walk she would aways wave, that I will miss you are a great young lady and you have touched many people, my mom was one of them people that she has touched she loved how big her smile was. Heather I will miss seeing you at bingo but maybe you and my mom can play bingo up there now, keep her company and let her know that I miss her so very much. Take care my friend and I am proud to call you that

I went to school with Heather at St.Victor's. At recess Mrs.Pecore would let me stay in with her to keep her company we'd laugh all through recess! When my mom would go to the bingo's me and Heather would hang out in the girls bathroom we'd talk about boys!!!!!! It's very sad that she is gone but, I feel very privilege to have had the opportunity to have had those moments with her. R.I.P. HEATHER XOXOXOXOX

I had the honor of not only being Heather's cousin but I also had the pleasure of working with her for 4 years as an E.A. in her earlier days of school. We had so many laughs ,we cried a few times together but mostly we goofed around and laughed. I remember her startle reactions where if something even slight was dropped or passed by her she would collapse into herself; her knees would smashed up beneath the underside of the desk and her poor forehead would slam down against the top of her desk. "Oh my God, are you ok!?", I would ask her. With a goofy grin and her eyes all amazed, she kind of gave her little head a shake, looking a bit stunned to say the least and while I held my breath, she would then crack up laughing hysterically with that comical little laugh of hers. Well then we had ourselves a good chuckle together. Another E.A. would invite us to North Bay so she could meet Bryan, a boy who also had Cerebral Palsy- they hit it off from the start-we played games together and had picnics with him. Her Auntie Laurie had once written a poem for me for having worked with her but when she said that I was accepting and patient with Heather and that I made a difference for her- was actually the other way around. Since having worked with Heather she taught me more about acceptance, how to care for others better, she taught me how to laugh most of all when other times I may have had a hard time to see the positives in life- she was the one who made me feel accepted and loved and that she saw me for me and loved me anyway. She was definitely an angel on Earth and although we will miss her greatly, she is now needed back in Heaven and her daddy can now have the privilege of having Heather's love once again! I will miss you Heather, I will always remember everything about you and I will LOVE YOU FOREVER! Love, Connie

Please accept my deepest sympathies Cora, Laurie, Scott and Diane and the rest of the family. Thank you Cora for sharing your sweet sweet child with me all those years, for giving me the greatest job on Earth and especially thank you for allowing me time to spend with Heather in her final hours-thank you for sharing that time with all of us. I would not have wanted to be any other place but by her side and having a chance to kiss her and hold her hand one last day- I will miss her greatly as I know you will too but I admire you Cora- never giving up on your daughter even when the doctors wanted you to in the beginning , staying by her side in her life and her death-you are an amazing Mom and as you shared your girl with me , I will share my girl with you too-I love you Cora and Laurie. Goodbye my Sweet Heather- I will also miss your bear hugs! Love Connie and your Godchild, Alyshia
