Obituary of I.L. June Swan

Swan, I. L. June Our loving wife, mother and grandmother left us peacefully in the early morning of April 21, 2012 in her 89th year. June leaves George W. Swan, her darling husband for over 67 years, her son the late Peter C. Swan (Nici) of B.C. and her daughter Janet E. Taylor (North Bay) and is sadly missed by her grandchildren Theresa Swan (Dan) of B.C. and Nathan Taylor (Karina) of Mexico. We will all miss her presence greatly but we know that she is in God's presence in heaven where one day we will see her again. June lived her life caring for others and her life centered so much on her family and support of Christian endeavors. June worked alongside her husband for years at Swan Motors in Sundridge and later they started up Swan Antiques after a trip to Britain. She enjoyed hearing all the stories of George's real estate days and came to see both her children become realtors. June took up painting and enjoyed many hours of creating beautiful scenes and eventually encouraged George to do the same. June loved to talk to strangers and put a little love in their day, she would care for people or animals in need and was part of missionary work to Africa for many years. Friends may call at MARTYN FUNERAL HOME on Friday, April 27, 2012 from 1:00 p.m. until the time to celebrate June's life at 2:30 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
