Angela, Peter, and Susie My heartfelt condolences to your family, Your Dad was a great man! I have very fond memories of my childhood on Park Ave playing school, dinky toys, radio station, and just hanging around. Your Mom and Dad treated my brothers and I like their own. We did test his patience at times, but we were kids. He allowed us to have fun and knew when it was time to set us straight. Although I have lost touch with your family since I left North Bay many years ago, I have not forgotten the great times being with your family. And I am very grateful for that. Again, my deepest sympathies.

Sue, Peter, Angela and Family, Your family has been such a big part of our lives growing up together in North Bay. You know how much we cherished your dad - he was so full of life and we shared so many good times together, they are hard to count. Your dad would always think of others before himself, and had such a big heart. He was full of love and always wanted to make sure that everyone around him was happy and content. He had such a contagious smile, and his laugh would make you laugh. Our hearts go out to you during this difficult time. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and we know your dad will live in all of our hearts forever - he will be sadly missed.

My condolences to all of Frank’s family. He helped me in my first years of teaching more than he realized. His example of care for a school and his concern for students was an example that I tried to emulate throughout all my years of teaching. Alberta and my prayers are with you.

My sincere condolences to Frank's family. As principal of ET Carmichael School I had the privilege of working with Frank for two years. Without a doubt he was a most caring, loyal and generous man who I was very proud to call a friend. As I am in Florida my thoughts will be with you as you celebrate his life at the funeral service.

For 13 years during the 70's and 80's I taught at E.T`. Carmichael Public School. Frank Preuss helped make this time for me one of the most enjoyable in my teaching career. He was always there to help. Whether you were a student, teacher or parent, Frank would go "above and beyond" to help you. I remember one summer I was building a cottage on Lake Commanda..a car pulled into our driveway and there was Frank and his son Peter..hammer in hand, ready to help. He often went on class excursions to help supervise because he really enjoyed being with the kids. One June I took my class to Mikisew Park for three days of camping.. Frank came along to help out..Whether he was catching a runaway gerbil from Mrs. Rinaldo's class(in a live trap he designed), applying first-aid to a sobbing grade one, or boosting a staff member's car on a cold January afternoon, he was always there to help. The look and atmosphere around E.T. Carmichael in the 70's and 80's was a tribute to "FRANK PREUSS"!
