Edna & Family, sorry for your loss. I knew Jack from Bonfield as he was neigbor to the Menard Family. If my memory serves me correctly, that's when I learned English because they were the only English speaking family around. My condolences to his Mother to Mary (who's my age 49 and holding)to Gord, Roy and Harvey. Sorry to have missed the service as we had previous commitments that had us away from the area. Dear Edna, Cindy, Tim, Todd - Very sorry for your troubles. A kinder hearted person, there's not many like Jack. The sort of man we all just enjoy being around. Always a good word, a pretty quick wit, a good judge of character, and confident being himself. A considerate person, good at what he did, willing to lend a hand, and a kind word to a kid. This past summer Jack recently reminded me about an outing that impressed him many, many years ago. Apparently I was the only person that hit a bull's-eye in archery that day. Not a big deal I know, but what impressed him the most wasn't the bull's-eye hit but that it was achieved by the only girl in the group! Although the memory of that day has diminished for me somewhat over the years, the memory of a man (Jack) who barely knew me at the time remembered that; now THAT'S IMPRESSIVE and one memory that I will appreciate from here on in.
