Its still a shock that your gone and you will be truly missed by all of us!!! It does bring a smile to my face though to know that you are now in a better place but more importantly that you are again re-united with the love of your life!!! I know that you and nana have now shared a long awaited hello again hug and kiss together and are now together forever and watching down on all of us with smiles and the same loving presence that you both have provided us for all of these years!!!

PAPA, What can I say you were a truly great man! You were stubborn;), strong, funny, friendly, out-going, independent and so much more but mostly you were purely inspiring!!! :D You have really left a big hole in all the people's lives you have touched in your long tenure in this world!!! 92 years is such a great feat and wish you could of stayed with us a lot longer!!! I will always remember the many memories and times we spent together throughout the years... Mostly I will remember our family Christmas' that we had every year in our home in Newmarket. I enjoyed every year you and uncle Robert coming down for those few days. All our diners at night, you sleeping in way longer than most of us, falling asleep while i can hear you watching tv with the volume on full LOL, but my favorite thing was when you listened to your music and moved your fingers around like they were dancing on your knee, table, chair :) where ever they wanted to dance away!!! Even though the past few Christmas' you haven't been able to make your way down, you have always been on my mind and missed having our regular Christmas' together!!

Sharon - for you Dad! posted a condolence
Wednesday, January 25, 2012
Dad you certainly have been a character! A card that should be dealt with.... I can hear you singing "Memories" I can see you dancing across the floor and your hands dancing on the table... Winking at me because you thought something was funny...that grin when something please you! I am grateful that you were able to have such an independent and active life. No one could believe that at 92 you were still driving, going to your favorite restaurants and puttering in the yard. I think a song that suits you well was Sinatra's "My Way". You definitely did things your way..... you could be quite stubborn - and I think that may have been passed down to your descendants...not me of course! You were cantankerous - but sensitive..... gruff but with a huge heart...you didn't always show it but we know...how hard you worked to provide for us. We thought we would have you a bit longer. I didn't really think that our last Hug and Kiss would be the last..... but I am glad we had it. I am glad that I was able to spend so much time with you since Dec....and that it seemed to bring you comfort to have me there. I does not seem real ... you were a real trouper in these last months enduring all that you had to accept with your sudden failing health. You had to struggle with being dependant on others ..... but you rarely really complained....other than the mushy food was so boring and thick drinks were not refreshing The look of joy when we brought you a Coke! I am sad that you were so uncomfortable your last days.... in some ways it gave us all the possibility of showing you how much we cared and gave us the ability to have the last days as ones giving those true feeling of compassion and letting each other know how special we thought of each other - I am glad we had that! I did not think that I would be coming to your funeral on the anniversary of Mom's passing.....14 years to the day Jan 28 1998..... I hope you two find peace together watch over us all. I hope there is a place where you are at rest and can know how much we miss you and wish we still had you here! Love You - Sharon
