Alfred DiTullio Obituary

DiTULLIO – Alfred R. With great sorrow the family announces that Fred passed away at the Toronto General Hospital on Thursday October 13, 2011. He had been ill for two months originating from a heart attack in August. Loving husband of Margaret (Hewitt) he was step dad to Michael, Daphne and Stephanie and special grandpa to Kirista and Sabrina. He will be missed by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Frank and Lilia DiTullio who were born in Italy and came to Canada to live in Kirkland Lake before moving to North Bay in 1955. Fred attended N.B. Collegiate. Fred retired from the M.T.O. in 1993 after thirty four years of service. He then worked as Public Works Superintendent in Callander for ten years. Fred was recognized for his devotion and efforts in organizing the Annual M.T.O. Golfer’s Holiday for twenty five years , 1966 – 1991. There will be no visitation or service. A private graveside service will be held by his family. Arrangements have been entrusted to Martyn Funeral Home. Online condolences may be offered at www.martynfh.com.
