Peacefully at the North Bay Regional Health Center on Wednesday June 8, 2011.She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Joanne her husband Sam, and her granddaughter Sarah, and her son Keith and his wife Brenda, and her grandson Craig. A dignified and private woman, Harriet was born in Hartland, New Brunswick.Growing up she saw the world with her parents Joseph and Helen, and her brother Fred.She lived in Scotland, Chicago and Cairo.As a young woman she attended Acadia, married and raised two children.Separated in later life, she received great pleasure from volunteering her time and support to many groups and organizations.Always active she enjoyed the outdoors, reading, puzzles, bridge and of course her two grandchildren. She left the world as she wished, with peace, comfort and dignity.Final resting place will be Hartland, New Brunswick where she will join her mother, father and brother.As a learned friend, care giver, cook and life coach she will be missed.If desired donations to the Heart & Stroke Fund in Harriet’s memory will be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy.
